An Alternative Ending for Harry Potter

Harry Potter "dies" while fighting in Hogwarts. As the echo of the last "Avada Kedavra" resounds, in the following scene, a nurse, in a white room, is quietly preparing a syringe with a combo of calmants. Harry wakes up on a white bed, he can't say anything, just mumble some obtuse grunts. He is in St. Brutus, and the effects of the medication that keeps him under control have just worn off. Standing by the side of the bed, there are Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, looking at their nephew with eyes of uncomforted and tender compassion. Hogwarts, the witches, his Gryffindor friends, everything, was no more than a delirious fantasy of his chronically ill mind. Harry squeals a bit while the nurse gives him a new injection, and mrs. Dursley, petting his forehead, whispers: "It's all okay, sweetheart... You'll sleep soon...", Harry moves his head and silently calms down with his eyes yet wide open.
- He has been quite agitated during last nights. - says the nurse.
- Poor him, have you changed the drug's administration? - inquires mr. Dursley.
- Yes, dr. Valdemar recommended something stronger, but I think he is going to handle it well. He is a good patient. I think we will be able to give him better hours of sleep. Actually, it has already been showing some positive results: He stopped choking, and is not drooling so much anymore- replies the nurse with a polite smile, removing her surgical gloves.
- Yes, that's all we can do... - sobs mrs. Dursley.
In the next scene, they gently close the door and leave. Wrapped in his white hospital blanket, Harry Potter falls asleep. He is ready to start a new adventure.
